Joking aside, the Nokia e66 <a href="http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/Nokia-E66-phone-p_2972.html">spec list</a> is quite impressive including, A-GPS, Wifi, 3G and a beautiful slider-form factor.</p>

Seeing that there are no downloads involved, the publishing sides of the major labels have agreed to go forward with the deal. Typically the publishing sides of the majors are a lot more likely to make deals with startups since they are actually still making money, as the majority of their revenue comes from licensing to radio, tv, etc.</p>
<p>Anthony from <a href="http://venturebeat.com/2008/04/08/music-player-slacker-signs-deal-with-industrys-big-four/">VentureBeat</a> has a great line regarding the current state of the music industry. We definitely would not have seen this amount of cooperation 1 or 2 years ago:</p>
<blockquote><p>The announcement marks Slacker as part of a growing trend of startups who are actually taking the time to talk to the music corporations, rather than just launching and worrying about the legal details later. (We cover companies taking both approaches in our overview here.) Despite a healthy amount of publicity and more than $50 million in funding, the company is hardly an Apple or a Microsoft.</p></blockquote>
<p>For Grooveshark, and companies looking to <strong>turn around the music industry</strong>, this is a step in the right direction.</p>
