Believe it or not, you can make your employees want to come to work each day. All it takes is a few changes.

Keep Them Longer With Extra Perks

Although companies like Intuit don’t give many opportunities for moving up the corporate ladder, their employees are still happy to stay. Why? Great services and perks at work. This is more than dental and eye care. Companies are offering employees things like gyms and game rooms to keep everyone satisfied. If you’re getting a good compensation, are offered opportunities to learn and have great amenities like a game room, chances are, you’ll be satisfied.

Make It a Teaching Environment

People love an opportunity to receive free training or a college education. Companies like CareerBuilder offer a great program for tuition reimbursement, which keeps their employees happy. How can you use education as a tool to create a great company culture. You can require training or make it optional, then run an employee recognition program for those that excel in their academics. Find ways to make learning free and fun and you’ll make a great company identity.

Create a Great Working Space

Out of all the places to work, Google has set themselves a part when it comes to company culture. They’ve managed to create a working environment that’s evokes the creativity needed to succeed in a creative business. Free, gourmet meals, tube slides instead of chairs and free massages are just a few of the things you’ll find at Google.

How can you apply some of these things into creating your company culture? There are plenty of things that you can do to make your employees happy, healthy and satisfied. While you may not want a game room or tube slides, there are ways you can incorporate fun and appreciation into your company. Create your own company identity through unique ideas, incentives and programs. You may not gain the same reputation as Google or other top companies, but you can make a huge impact on your employees. You don’t have to be huge to make simple changes that will leave lasting results.
