With the upcoming release of the iPhone 3G, and the new iPhone App store, the blogosphere has been in a flurry to cover every event tied to this release. We’ve covered the best iPhone 3G Killers, put together a new owner’s guide, and now we have the Advertising Network built around the new App Store.

Walt Mossberg and others have praised the new 3G iPhone for becoming an “almost” perfect device, with all of them loving the new iPhone App Store. Personally, I’ve been exposed to the Jailbroken world of iPhone 1.0 Apps and have been really happy with what these developers have put together. I just got the Sirius iPhone app, and can now enjoy Howard Stern even when I’m out of the car.
Doubleclick for iPhone Apps
Medialets is essentially a mobile-oriented version of Doubleclick. It allows app developers to create free applications, and insert advertising into the apps to generate revenue. Previously, iPhone developers would either have to rely on paid apps or find some sort of mobile adsense workaround to generate revenue.
The process is pretty easy, developers build their apps as normal, and then Medialets helps developers insert “beautiful, yet effective” advertising in an effort to preserve the great user experience of the iPhone.
Personally, I’m putting my bets on Medialets to be the huge growth company of 2008, and I wish them the best of luck with their upcoming launch on July 11, the iPhone 3G release date.
