First Impressions Are Key For New Blogs

In building the original model for my blog, I made sure to incorporate some of the features I thought should be most important to users.

They should be able to find out who is writing the blog, they should be able to easily subscribe, and they should have access to the best content on the blog to give them a taste and get them to stick around.

Similarly, the guys at Vandelay Design have a similar list:

1. What is your blog about? 2. How can I subscribe? 3. What is your best work? 4. How can I contact you? 5. What else do you have to offer? 6. Is the blog regularly updated and current? 7. Why should I care about you? 8. How can I find what I want? 9. What type of environment does the blog have?
