So what took so long for Facebook to roll out this target advertising strategy, and why is it that it’s being talked about like it’s the latest frickin iPhone:
“Facebook Ads represent a completely new way of advertising online,” – Zuckberg
“iPhone is a revolutionary and magical product that is literally five years ahead of any other mobile phone,” – Jobs
Separated at birth?
Honestly, though, the iPhone is really frickin cool, just ask any of the 25 guys that would ask to touch it while I’m on a date with my girlfriend.
Allowing advertisers to target their ads is just plain obvious.
The real key here, as with everything, is execution. If Facebook can finally get a higher click-through rate, then maybe they’ll finally be worth somewhere near that $15 billion valuation.
