Blogs for Breakfast

You really need to get in the habit of reading some sort of news every morning. Whether you listen to Morning Edition on NPR or read a copy of the New York Times, it is essential that you stay current with the news. I personally like to read my favorite blogs every morning, afternoon, evening. Instead of going to each individual website, I use bloglines.com

Bloglines is a FREE online service for searching, subscribing, creating and sharing news feeds, blogs and rich web content. With Bloglines, there is no software to download or install — simply register as a new user and you can instantly begin accessing your account any time, from any computer or mobile device. And it’s FREE!

With bloglines you can add all of your favorite blogs to your feeds, and easily access them from a central database. Bloglines will show you when your blogs have been updated, and you can easily categorize your selections into different categories. I highly recommend checking out Bloglines!

If you don’t know what your favorite blogs are yet, you should head over to Technorati. Technorati is the largest internat database of blogs. They are currently tracking 30.6 million sites and 2.1 billion links. Just type in an interest into the search, and you’ll find blogs that meet your needs.

A great Technorati feature is their listing of John Doe’s favorite blogs. It’s interesting to find out what the great thinkers of our time are reading.

Everyone is interested in something, and while reading about the latest dog sweater may not be the most newsworthy event, it gets you into the habit of reading everyday. So what are you waiting for? Start searching and creating your bloglines feeds list!
