No sooner do I do a post on how Compete works, do we see a great example of how Alexa does NOT work.
Also, interesting note: I could not get the graph to appear correctly on first try, yet another disaster with Alexa.
According to Alexa, MySpace and Facebook are equal in regards to traffic, even though estimates have shown that MySpace is still roughly 20 million ahead of Facebook.

As far as the Alexa blunder, I guess this is good for Facebook, and they’re probably pumping this to all of their advertisers, but what this means for Alexa? Perhaps they need to work on their algorithm a little?
