Do you have any idea how many users come to your site everyday? If you’re a webmaster, I’m sure you’ve mastered Alexa, but have you considered Compete.com for traffic estimates?

Compete provides better metrics than Alexa, comScore, and Hitwise

• Compete distinguishes US traffic to International, unlike Alexa
• Compete uses Clickstream data from Toolbar, Opt-in, ISPs and ASPs versus just ISPs from Hitwise
• Compete normalizes numbers results while Alexa does not

I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of these graphs that show how one competitor is better than another, but if you take a look, I think you’ll find this is some pretty powerful YES’s versus NO’s.

To see how your site is doing, all you have to do is enter in the domain name in the site analytics tab. From there, you can see your average time on site, % of US visitors, and number of unique visitors per month.

All of this can be really great data that you can help you gauge the effectiveness of any marketing or promotional events you do, as well as check out how you’re comparing to the competition.
