Zambino is a solution to monetizing YouTube videos. Currently YouTube has a content-share program for video producers, but unfortunately it is limited to only the top 1% of producers and leaves the little guy out of the loop. Fortunately, the team at Zambino has created a solution that can work for the little guys out there trying to make a name (and a living) for themselves on YouTube as well as the major content producers.

In our continuing coverage of startup companies, we’re featuring Zambino. In our past interview, we talked to Morten Blaabjerg of Kaplak. Adam Richman took the time to answer some of the questions posed by Wise Startup Blog below:
In one sentence, what does your startup do?
Zambino connects advertisers with the producers of YouTube viral videos, to allow companies to engage and participate in social media in a smart way.
Tell us about your team, and how you got started.
In October 2007, after having a conversation with a friend who produced a highly successful YouTube video, but did not receive any monetary value, we took it upon ourselves to come up with a monetization solution suitable for both producers and advertisers, thus Zambino was born.
Zambino was founded by Adam Richmanan 18 year-old entrepreneur, who will attend the University of Arizona this fall, and Jacob Visnick a 29 year-old serial-entrepreneur.
Have you raised any money? Are you looking to raise money?
We raised a small round from Friends and Family, and we’re able to bootstrap for over 10 months, but now we are prepared to take the next step and enter a new larger round of funding.
Do you have any new projects to share with our readers? We are currently working on some really cool features that are entirely new to the market, and hope to have them completed by our September launch. We are also working on a deal with Aweli to integrate their unique toolset/software into Zambino.
What are your most vital needs that our readers can help you with?
