How My 2 Person Business Made $8,649 In 1 Day

I started SEO Link Wheelers in December of 2009, building everything from the ground up, and yesterday was our biggest sales day ever. We brought in $8,649 in sales in 24 hours. Here’s how I did it.

How To Make Money Online

So yesterday was my day that will live in infamy, May 6th, 2010. It was the day I made the most money in a single day that I’ve ever made in my entire 25 years on this planet.

With the help of an Internet Marketing Genius, the company I helped founded brought in $8,649 in 1 day of sales.

These Steps Are Guaranteed to Work

This is going to be a continuing series where I teach you exactly what I did to get to this point.

1. Found a service that clients were demanding

I have a number of web businesses, and wanted to be able to use SEO for my business, but had never found a reliable, cost effective service.

I experimented with about 10 different providers on Warrior Forum, DigitalPoint, and a bunch of other Internet Marketing forums until I finally found something that worked.

This was my opportunity.

2. Create a partnership with your source

No matter what you’re selling, you should have a partnership with your source. My service is SEO, so I partnered with my service provider.

I cut them in on a share of profits, and gave them ownership of the company.

In doing so, they agreed to give me a reduced price on services so that I could offer better prices to customers.

3. Build your brand

There are a lot of people making a lot of money selling stuff directly on Warrior Forum and DigitalPoint. This is a great income stream, however, if all your income is coming from these sources, you are at the mercy of somebody else.

You never want to do this.

Buy a domain name, and get a website built.

Now, whenever you advertise your services or products to your customers, send them to your site.

Collect their email address by offering them something for free, and start marketing to them.

4. Find the influencers in your market

We partnered with Shoemoney by offering him something for free in the hopes that he would work with us.

It paid off, but we also spent a lot of money developing relationships with other people that we hope will eventually pay off.

The lesson to learn from this is you need to try as many things as possible. Send emails, buy ads on as many different sites as you can until you can get somebody’s attention.

We spent $5,000 before we got a big break, and this big break paid for all of that wasted money in a single day.

5. Tell your story

A great lesson I learned from the guys at 37 Signal is you can’t outspend, but you can out teach.

We are telling everyone how we build link wheels by giving away an eBook with all our secret sauce. Our stance is you can know what we’re doing, but since this is all we do, we can do it better than anyone.

So say if you’re starting a company that competes with Google, you can never spend more money than them, but what you CAN do is be more open.

Google has shareholders, lawyers, etc. that prevent them from revealing their algorithm.

So share your story with us, I want to do write ups on your companies, successes or failures.
