Cameraphones have finally made it to the masses. An Arkansas man has taken nude pictures of his wife on his cell phone, and after a biggie sized super-value meal, he leaves his cell phone at McDonald’s. To be expected, somebody took the phone, and posted the pictures online, and now we have a $3 million lawsuit.
The judge needs to take this case and throw out immediately. This is the type of stuff that wastes huge amounts of taxpayer money. And let this be a lesson to those of you out there, don’t take pictures you don’t plan on wanting someone to see at some point ..because they always will.
Here’s the story from the Telegraph:
Phillip Sherman, who accidentally left his phone, with the photos, at a McDonald’s in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in July, is seeking $3 million (£2 million) in damages for embarrassment he and his wife suffered, along with the cost of having to move to a new house.
Mr Sherman filed the suit on Friday against the chain, the franchise owner, and the store manager. He claims that employees promised to keep the phone it until he returned to retrieve it.
Mr Sherman and his wife, Tina, claim they were forced to move house after the woman’s name, address, and telephone number appeared online, alongside the photos. Mrs Sherman said she recieved offensive calls and texts after the photos were posted online.
The couple also allege loss of earnings.
McDonald’s Corp, the franchise owner and the manager have so far refused to comment on the case.
