The Best Resume Tips To Get Hired

These tips come from Glenn Kelman at Redfin who has 20+ years in hiring, and here my favorite of his tips:

  • 4. Use Verbs Ending in “d”: Shipped, Launched, Sold
  • 14. Themes: whether you care about customer service or agile software, tell a consistent story from job to job.
  • 18. Email to the CEO: it takes chutzpah & resourcefulness to go straight to the top. The email address is easy to guess.

Hopefully these are some help to you, and please feel free to add your own tips in the comments section.

  • I also did multiple reviews of the system on my blog:

It's not always a reliable service. For $2 an article you are going to get a crappy half original content and no name to attach behind it. Plus you might be given the wrong info when it comes to testing. People will give you the kind of info you want just to get the hit, not necessary the truth.

I think it's a useful service, but not to that extent.
