Major Breakthrough in Solar Power Could Solve Our Energy Problems

By observing how plants store energy via photosynthesis, Daniel Nocera of MIT labs has discovered a way to revolutionize how solar power is stored. The solution is apparently a scalable, very cost effective solution that can be brought to market in the near future.

Until now, solar power has been a daytime-only energy source, because storing extra solar energy for later use is prohibitively expensive and grossly inefficient. With today’s announcement, MIT researchers have hit upon a simple, inexpensive, highly efficient process for storing solar energy.

Opens The Door for Large Scale Solar Deployment

Below is the video, and is just an example of how everyone can contribute to the situation of rising fuel prices and a deteriorating environment.

We don’t need to disrupt the pristine nature of our waters by drilling offshore, we need to put more people like Daniel on the case to come up with a solution that will revolutionize the way we consume and use energy.
