Right now the rumor is this new Apple Macbook Pro ‘Brick’ is going to be launched October 14th. We have yet to see any press announcements from Apple, making it very unlikely we’ll see an announcement made, however, we’re still holding out hope.
This new version of the Macbook Pro is supposed to be cast out of a single piece of aluminum, very similar to the Macbook Air. This technique should reduce the weight and increase the durability of the machine. We may also see a Blu-Ray drive added to the mix, along with some Nvidia video cards.
My Perfect Macbook
Personally, I’m just looking forward to a Macbook Pro that runs cooler and is lighter. I had to ditch my Macbook Air for a 15″ Macbook Pro and the extra weight makes it real hard to lug it around.
An in-between machine at around 3.5-4 lbs would be my dream machine!
