Niles, thanks for the feedback, I moved over the categories, decreased the top margin and am in the process of cleaning up the sidebar CSS.

For the twitter/rss, the goal of the site is to increase followers, and increase the sense of community for the theme owner, so I'm going to keep that, although you make a good point about it normally not being essential. I may consider using a cookie to move it after a user has already signed up/followed me.

I would say you need some extra work to the theme, especially on your spacing. The right margining is wider than the left. You should consider moving the categories more to the left to line up with the edge of your content and your top bar. In your sidebar, clean up the css for your 125×125 banners so they are equally spaced out to that of the larger ad above it or optimize for WP-125, free WP plugin. These will crisp up your theme. Your RSS reader and Twitter counters are not really that essential and could either be in a couple places: 1, the very bottom of the site, or 2, at the top with your main page content.

Your margin at the top of your content container between that and where your big banner and logo are, you is a bit too much. Aim for 10 pixels for a margin.

Other than that, great job on the layout.
