So for all of us technologically-inclined guys, our girlfriends and wives are a bit confused as to what to get us for Christmas. This is the Christmas Gift List For Guys That Like Gadgets. So if you’re trying to hint your significant other into what to get you for Christmas, show her this page, and you can avoid her getting you “that really cute shirt” for yet another Christmas.
It really is tough for your spouse to know what to get you for Christmas, simply because our tastes change so quickly and technology evolves even faster, so I’ve put together the top 5 best tech gifts that should last you well into …at least 6 months of 2009.
The Top 5 Christmas Gifts For Tech Guys (& Girls)

iPhone 3G, Blackberry Bold & Storm, T-Mobile G1
So if your giftee does not yet own one of these devices, buy them this gift for Christmas, and all of these phones are only ~$200, beware, however, of data charges that can get quite pricey. Here is what carrier goes with what phone:
- AT&T – iPhone 3G / Blackberry Bold
- Verizon – Blackberry Storm
- T-Mobile – Google G1

Slinbox Pro-HD
A slingbox is a great piece of technology. You can hook it up to your cable/Tivo/digital box and then broadcast any and all of the channels through your computer. So you can watch live-streaming Football games from your laptop or Dancing With The Stars episodes on your Palm Centro. This is the top of the line version that allows you to watch recorded Tivo shows from your hard drive. Price is $299.

Apple TV + Boxee
Apple TV prior to Boxee was probably not worth the investment. Boxee allows you to stream content from any source and most importantly from Hulu on your widescreen TV. I used it to stream 24 episodes from Hulu, Kath and Kim, and a number of shows all for free. I’ve been giving out invites for Boxee, and the Apple TV starts at $229.

Dell Mini 9 Laptop
There are a string of new laptops being released, all at less than 10″ in screen size, and the Dell Mini 9 is not the first to the market, but so far it’s definitely the best. It weighs in at only 2lbs and starts at $349.

B&W Zeppelin iPod Speakers
The most expensive item on our list, and perhaps the most overlooked. If your spouse loves music, they most likely are listening to it on really bad pre-boxed iPod speakers or the horrible cheap $20 iPod speakers they found at Target. This is the best speaker set available for an iPod or an orchestra, and the price is steep, but worth it if you’re looking for the tops in sound quality priced at $599.
