Which iPhone Apps Will Make The Best iPad Apps?

Considering the iPad will go on sale around March 31st, I’m trying to think about the best possible use for my new tablet, so I took a look at the current apps I have on my iPhone, and got some pretty cool ideas as far as apps that will be great business, and gaming forces on the iPad.

Best iPad Apps

Photoshop + Wireframes

While the current iPhone version of Photoshop is severly limited, I imagine an in-between with my iMac and my iPad. I do a lot of web development work and when I’m doing a presentation for a client, they often like to throw a bunch of “what-ifs” my direction.

So what if I was able to create a mockup, send that PSD to the iPad, then bring the iPad to the presentation, and be able to actively hide layers, change font colors, sizes, etc.

Besides the fact it’s clunky doing this on the Macbook, the iPad is perfectly suited for this application.

Taking it a step further, what if my client can annotate notes on the design? Overlay a stickies type feature where he enters in his comments, or we draw some cool red arrows to show where elements should and should not go.

The iPad could be the perfect wireframe platform.

Civilization Revolution

I’ve never been a fan of FPS on the iPhone, but games like Civilization that are turned based are screaming for more screen real estate. This game would be a HUGE seller once it moves to the iPad.

Money Island

Slow moving, strategy/adventure games like Monkey Island were designed originally for interaction in a tablet interface. I loved playing this version of Money Island on the iPhone and I can’t wait to see Lucas Arts port all of their old adventure games to the iPad.
